chris could obv. have total air or the nuts,but i would prefer that he got nothing.mostly desperate people shoves allin in situations like this if they hold nothin.
if chris would hold the nuts he would´nt go allin,i guess he would bet at most the potsize.
sometimes players act like they have nothin,but in truth they hold the nuts, because his oponnent should think hes bluffin to get trapped. but the most players rather do a valuebet (potsize),not a allin shove.but anyway it was a hard decision.

I don’t get the point of calling the raise on the turn and fold on the river when every possible draw busts either.
It would have been a great play when Moneymaker actually had a monster imho, but the bluff itself is hardly that outstanding

While it’s not an easy call by any means (especially with that much money at stake), he obviously was feeling that he’s getting bluffed here
While I agree that Moneymaker’s range is polarized between Monsters (Sets, Flush) and Bluffs(mostly missed draws), Sammy underrepresented his hand (Top Pair is mostly the best hand heads-up) in a way that he had to be expect to be bluffed

I feel is Sammy played his hand a little more aggresvely, moneymaker probably couldn’t have made that bluff on the river. That being said, it was a great read on moneymakers part, utilizing the board, and the knowledge, that Sammy probably didn’t have a straight or flush. Even a set is hard to call there.

moneymaker is told as a bad player but he did not only win the main event. He also made second at a WSOP champtionship. And before that, he also won 2 million dollars online. All this cannot happen by pure luck.
And that bluff was great. Many would have folded that top pair of 9.
